Tragedy in Bursa: Two Siblings Lost Their Lives in a Car Accident

The accident occurred yesterday around 01:30 in Ahıska Street, Üçevler District of Nilüfer. A collision happened between the car with the license plate 16 BGM 213 driven by Tuğba Akpınar and the van with the license plate 16 BHS 56 driven by İsmail Sevinç. In the accident, the driver of the car, Akpınar, and her sister, Seda Akpınar, got stuck in the vehicle. Upon the notification of the bystanders, the police, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Under the supervision of the medical teams, it was determined that Tuğba and Seda Akpınar lost their lives. Sevinç, the van driver who survived the accident with minor injuries, was taken to Çekirge State Hospital by ambulance. İsmail Sevinç was taken into custody after receiving medical treatment and an alcohol test revealed that he had a blood alcohol level of 1.06 promil. The accident was captured by a security camera of a nearby business.

Two siblings were laid to rest

After the autopsy procedures at the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute, the bodies of Tuğba and Seda Akpınar, received by their relatives, were laid to rest in Beşyol District of Osmangazi yesterday.

İsmail Sevinç, on the other hand, was taken to the courthouse, where he was arrested and sent to prison.
